Description of the individual Danish language courses

Intensive Danish language course - Level 2
1. - 6. April 2013

You already speak a little Danish - but would you like to become fluent? Then this intensive Danish course is the right one for you: 6 days of intensive Danish language teaching. 

For a whole week you work on the Danish language intensively, almost the entire day. 

Danish tuition in a little group of max. 7 people stimulates your desire to talk and your skills of expression. You will participate in the talk, and you will get individual feed-back.

As in all the Danish classes at Ursula Behrle´s language school I make use of varying teaching methods. Therefore this intensive Danish course also becomes exciting and varied - and you naturally get the chance to try out what you have learned "in real life" and with "genuine" Danes. 

The oral communication, your skills at expressing yourself, the fluent and easy conversation are the focus of the language course. 

As stated above, this Danish language course is very intensive, and you will gain the greatest benefit from your Danish lessons if, in addition to the lessons, you use 1-2 hours of your free time daily to work with what you have learned during the day´s course.

Intensive Danish language course - Level 1A - GENUINE beginners

As a member of small group of maximum 7 people, you have ample opportunity to join in the conversation – and you receive individual feed-back.

The focus of this course is verbal communication in daily situations and of course, pronunciation. 

The course is arranged so that there is a great variety between the various teaching methods and materials. And if the weather permits, the lovely scenery of West Lolland can be used as a ‘back drop’-part of the course.

As in all my beginner courses, this Danish course places great emphasis - right from the start – on ensuring that the participants gain a solid foundation as regards pronunciation – which is far from easy in the Danish language. In addition to intensive pronunciation training and individual feed-back in small groups (max 7 participants), the course members are given a set of rules which make it possible to discern the big differences between the written and spoken language.

As stated above, this Danish language course is very intensive, and you will gain the greatest benefit from your Danish lessons if, in addition to the lessons, you use 1-2 hours of your free time daily to work with what you have learned during the day´s course.

Intensive Danish language course - Level 1B - FALSE beginners

This Danish course offers 6 days of intensive Danish language instruction. It is designed for participants who already know a little Danish and who would be bored in a beginners´ course, which yet again begins with "my name is". And yet - somehow - the participants in this course are still beginners. 

This Danish language course is held as a direct extension of the intensive Danish course for REAL beginners (Level 1A) and in terms of level and content builds further on this. 

But at the same time, the two beginners´ courses for REAL and respectively FALSE beginners are organised as separate language courses. Therefore, of course, any participants, who have acquired their basic knowledge of Danish elsewhere, are very welcome. 

The course offers 6 days of intensive involvement with the Danish language and culture. It is very intensive and quickly and efficiently imparts a basic knowledge of Danish. 

The focus of this Danish course is verbal communication in daily situations and, of course, pronunciation. 

As a member of a small group of maximum 7 people, you have ample opportunity to join in the conversation - and you receive individual feed-back.

Discover Denmark
15. - 20. July 2013 - Beginner Level
28. July - 2. August 2013 - Level 2 

These Danish classes are also language classes. But they are much more than just language courses. We will experience a piece of Denmark: the summary Danish nature, the culture of Lolland and Falster, a piece of Denmark´s history. We will meet the Danes and, naturally, speak with them in Danish. Together we will think about the Danes´ - and our own - world. 

Every day brings new holiday experiences - and with the experiences come new Danish words and sentences, deeper insight into the Dane´s culture and thought processes - and naturally: loads of fun. 

We meet in the morning and gain, partly in easy Danish and partly in English/German (particularly Level 1) an introduction to the day´s programme - and the day´s language and contextual elements. Then we set out - on foot or by car, to places of cultural or historical interest on Lolland-Falster. And while we are out, we are learning Danish. 

Some days will be dedicated to exploration of the landscape. By means of the tried and tested method "walk and talk" we explore the beautiful, hilly landscape of western Lolland and at the same time solve som language tasks - or just talk with each other. This method enlarges the vocabulary, breaks down language inhibitions and helps to attain a more fluent language. 

And at the lunch table we naturally speak more and more Danish - no matter whether we are "eating in" at Vesterborg or sitting by a lakeside. 

On the whole, these language courses are very varied - the course changes between differing tuition methods and topics. This means that these language courses are suitable for everyone - from the teenager to Grandmother. 

My courses are limited to a max. of 7 participants. The courses run until the early afternoon, the rest of the day is yours to do as you like, enjoy the summer on lovely Lolland-Falster on your own. You are free ... you are on summer vacation. 

And you can make use of your newfound Danish language skills at the same time!
